I like american dad but not family guy
I like some of the Family Guy episodes, but so many episodes just seem stupid and not really funny, and they put in loooooads of filler like with him scooping up the frog or the original chicken fights.

Not that family guy is a masterpiece but how tf do you put American dad over family guy?
Stan's a better main character than just a Simpsons rip off painted a different colour, the jokes are relevant to the story, there's way less filler, they only politics the push is politics that's relevant to Stan's character and not your Family Guy "orange man bad, Obama good", and the absurdity is normally funnier, rather than Family Guy absurdity which is often just cringey.
American Dad is stale to me. Family guy isn't great but it's much more entertaining to me
South Park is my personal favourite cartoon but I prefer family guy to American dad
I used to like Family Guy never really liked American Dad tho. i don't like either anymore, South Park and Archer are where its at for cartoons.
Archer is the only animated feature I like. Coincidentally, Wikipedia says that Season 11 - the final one, apparently - is due to be released tomorrow (16 Sept).
I was really into Archer for the first 3 seasons, and then it felt as if it took a sharp downward turn. It became very repetitive.
I'm sure you're not alone in feeling that, and it seems the show's creators were aware things were getting a little stale.
So you haven't seen ISIS as a Magnum PI inspired private investigation outfit, them going into the cocaine importation and wholesale business, travelling back to 1938, Archer noir or sci-fi Archer. I won't even try to explain how all that happened, but it seems they're back to where they started in the current, final series.
I have seen up to them trying to shift the coke, and Cheryl becoming a country music star, but I gave up after that. It just wasn't the same.
However I have rewatched those first 3 seasons multiple times because they are very funny. Never fails to make me laugh out loud.
Yeah South Park's great, dude. They've managed to keep it fresh even after all these seasons.
