I like the life monks lead at this monastery - mt athos, greece?

I have no Christian religious beliefs and yet, I think these monks at Mt. Athos Greece are leading one of the SMARTEST lifestyles I have ever seen. They're extremely healthy. They have such a simple life filled with scheduled rituals that are peaceful by design. Doubt a one of them has a stress-induced disease. They don't bother with the outside modern world. They don't care about modern news. They keep the modern world away. That totally conflicts with everything I learned in school. They keep to the life they've led for centuries and it looks quite comfortable + self-sustaining. I'm thinking???? I want a life like this too. Its soothing to my soul. I want to sit there and chant for hours too. Comforting idea. The atmosphere at Mt Athos is beautiful! This has got to be an abnormal thing to like yet, not ascribe to any religion. Adopt the lifestyle alone, find a place with that incredible atmosphere, yes?

Didn't people a century or more ago use to escape to these monasteries as a sanctuary? Its alluring. The atmosphere. Hello? Stunning getaway! What a health tonic! Elixir, yes? I must be not normal? Maybe I'm feeling deja vu?

    Good you learnt some words from a thesaurus like "smartest", BUT that doesn't mean you are even capable of NOT musing them. Based on your rant actually nothing you said in fact made the slightest sense and it was 100% GARBAGE.

    I guess you must first look what's "smart" in the dictionary because an advanced vocabulary clearly doesn't hide your extremely low IQ and mindblowing religious stupidity.

    Devoting oneself to the spiritual path can be rather enticing. I've thought of giving up everything to join a Buddhist monastery before but, I consider myself a Buddhist. I do think it is normal for someone who isn't religious to want this type of lifestyle.
