I love all the Pokemon games and have been playing since the original R/B/Y. I recently bought the new version and also enjoyed it greatly. But most of my friends find all this stupid and childish. Am I being been stuck in my childhood for too long?
Why would playing pokemon be stupid and childish? It's a good game and those games bring in lots of money. My first pokemon game was red and some kid stole it from me. I was so angry. Anyways don't listen to them and continue enjoying pokemon games.
I'm 22 and play pokemon, Littlebigplanet and goodness knows how many other video games. I'm not letting my youth go for anyone, life has to have some fun it it!
I'm a 20 year old girl who just started playing the old pokemon games because I never bothered when I was young, and holy shit I was missing out.
If you enjoy a game, at any age, please play it. I'm 26, married, and I still game avidly. Mind you it's mostly Battlefield, or Fallout, but I was playing Pokemon Pearl a few months ago.
Seriously, it's no worse then the ton of people that play (played?) farmville, ranging from 5 to 85 years old.
Me and an old girlfriend had a Gengar obsession. I still love that guy and every time I see him, I remember the good times.
Everyone should retain an area of their life which is child-like. Without it, you're just a dull soon-to-be corpse who only cares about filing taxes and damp-proofing courses and topping up that pension. People need to have fun because so much of adult life is really not fun.
You Rock! Keep doing what you love and dont let anyone change it. Pokemon is the shizz.
I honestly don't think there is or there should ever be a problem when doing something you like. Whatever it is, if you like it .. And enjoy it... Practice it.

I'm in my late teens and I still play them. I have some of the cards too, but I never really learned how to play them. I also play the spin-offs like mystery dungeon. I'm the same way with Digimon. Pokemon is for all ages and a classic. Don't be ashamed of it:)
This is for sureee normal. I'm 18, & Haven't played it in awhile but I do enjoy it a lot. Im not sure why I get so hooked on it. Ha, but fuck it yolo.
I would watch the 90s pokemom but the new Pokemon sucks so bad i lost interest after i got older dont get my run im still a kid at heart :) i think i well always be unless i grow out of it.

I prefer the old pokemon. In the 3rd grade i use to collect the cards, even had a pikachu backpack and when you'd press its hand it'd say Pikachuuuuu. Keep on being a poke fan :D
I still play them and I'm a 16 y/o guy. 'Tis awesome! I've never been into the Cards though...

I know it's random but I recalled you saying Dead Space and I remembered it was on this post. I just finished Dead Space Extraction and I found it to be a great game, except when you tried to pick up an audio log on the floor and the damn camera moves before you can grab it. I kinda got a little shiver at the very end. I'm about to start Dead Space 2 and I can't wait to see what will happen.
And I agree with you about the little kid above your post.
I didn't see the label on the packaging saying that it was solely targeted at them? Must have missed the part where it said I can't still like something cause I'm older than the target audience...
