The "don't shave it'll come back thicker" is a myth. Truth is that newly shaved hairs just have flat ends because they were shaved, appearing thicker.

They go back to normal after awhile. Better yet, just make a habit of shaving.

If the other women in your family have the same issues with facial and body hair then you're probably normal. If you tend to be heavier than average, have excessive acne, or don't have your period you may have a hormonal issue and be in need of medical attention.

I have seen few girls with such features and they were still looking good. Show your photo to decide whether your case is normal or different.

I personally do not shave my face. I wax/ thread it when I get my eyebrows done. Also, for the stomach, I shave that! It doesn't come back rough like leg hair. 100% Normal!!

Being a "hairy woman" is quite normal. If it's something you've had since puberty and it's not really getting any worse, then In all likelihood, you have a higher than normal testosterone production - which tends to be a genetic trait - I.e. You CAN blame your parents for it.

It is however no reason to be worried, unless it seems to be getting worse (which in very rare cases can indicate some form of cancer).

Shaving, waxing, or bleaching are basically your only real options - or laser treatment to permanently rid yourself of the hair.

On the plus side, there is anecdotal evidence that women who have higher levels of testosterone (and therefore are more hairy) also have higher than normal sex drives. If you will pardon the pun, you may be as hairy as a rabbit, but you also root like one too! ;)

Oh, and as someone else mentioned above, shaving etc makes no actual difference to hair growth. It's a myth.

I once had a female teacher in school who had a mustache. Anyways she always asks us to shave everyday cox it was a school rule. One day we had enough of her crap and decided to prank her. What we did was packed a shaving kit with a razor and shaving cream and placed a note in the parcel saying "Shave your mustache first before asking others". We posted the parcel to her office. It was sent as a gift pack addressed from a secret admirer. We say her face when she got the gift, she was smiling so much we could see her teeth from far away. Once she got the gift she went inside to open it. After couple of minutes we saw her coming out of her office and could see tears on her eyes. Anyways after that she stopped harassing us about shaving. This is a true story what we did in high school.

I am a female but I inherited hairiness from my dad. You are not alone! I buy high quality razors and just make it a routine to shave moustache and chin area while in the shower about once a week. I also have crazy arm hair I used to trim it but I got a man locked down so I don't bother with it anymore lol

Just shave, there was a girl in middle school with the same exact problem and I gifted her a razor for the christmas exchange event.

How about bleaching your moustache?

Don't shave wax it or some kind of hair removal cream. My friend has blonde hair she shaved her arms when she was young now they grow back kinda dark she has to wax them all the time now. Do you have actual hair or are you just over reacting to peach fuzz?
