Ok, ever since I can remember I've played with my hair, my mom's hair, my wife's hair, my daughter's hair! I'm 30!

I put a handful of strands and twirl them, and then rub the hair between my middle finger and index finger nail. I do it all the time.

Am I normal, or just weird?

    It's normal as long as they're not annoyed with you playing with their hair.

    It's just a habit. I used to do it when I had longer hair in hs. Even use a pen or pencil to twist the back into knots, then pull, sometimes out. When my front or bangs would get long and I sweat playing sports, I'd do the same b/c it felt good. Twist around my finger or pen, and yank it out. Felt great.
