I'm afraid my roommate is terrible

Of course every new college kid has this fear, but I'm really afraid it's going to be hell. I'm the quiet conservative in a college full of radical liberals. I'm opposed to open sex, drugs, and overly dramatic and sensitive people that like to yell more than to listen. My roomie and I have some similarities, but knowing the majority of the students and peers, I'm afraid she's just another "millennial", or an "Anarchist with an Agenda".
Why can't people be sensible??

I can understand that, I'd find that frightning too. What you can hope for is someone with an open mind who is willing to live and let live. The easiest way to find this attitude in others is to put it out there yourself. Aslong as you don't judge your roommates or talk down to them by calling them "millennials" or "anarchists" I'm sure they'll respect your wishes aswell. Ideally they'll learn some things from you and you from them. Often very "wild" people really need someone in their lifes who is stable and centered, just like those stable people need someone who can help them take things easy sometimes.
I wish you all the best.

I understand I've gone through hell with roommates, sophomore year I had to have administration remove them from my house, now I just get singles.
