I'm afraid of using a tampon is that normal?

I'm 18 almost and still am scared to use a tampon, perhaps because I just think it would feel soo uncomfortable or sore, is this normal, any other girls out there that feel the same way or is it just me??

    thanks girls, I'm still uncertain, to me it seems like it would feel dry and draggy, that's the image I get anyhow which is prob not true...

    18 is a bit on the older end, but trust me, it's totally normal. The entire idea of tampons can be pretty intimidating and scary the first time and it might take a few tries but trust me they're awesome! You can exercise with them, wear tight pants, wear thongs, and like you forget they're even there:)

    Yeah, it's normal. There's nothing to be scared of, though, because if it's put in correctly, you would not feel any pain or discomfort. Just follow the instructions that come with tampons, and it should go in easily (although it may take a couple of tries the first time you use them).
