I'm afraid that i have suddenly developed diabetes.
I am a 22 year old white male and diabetes runs on my dad's side of the family. My aunt, her son, my dad, and my paternal grandparents all have had it. I eat a lot of sugar and this is my main reason for worrying. Within the past three or so weeks, i have been peeing more often. Within the past three hours i have peed 3 times counting what i will do after posting this. It's not every hour, and i do not have to get out of bed at night because of it. I used to pee about 3-4 times a day. Now it's probably 4-8 times a day. I hear that that is normal, but it's more than what i'm used to doing. I feel like a bottomless pit when eating sometimes, but I'm not excessively hungry (my stomach is not hurting or growling). I woke up very thirsty one night and thought about getting up for water, but this happened only once. I peed in a cup today and smelled it. I could not tell if it smelled sweet and i did not taste it. My blood sugar was perfectly normal in January of this year when I had my well check up. I don't plan on going for another one until next January. I have not increased the amount of sugar that I eat, but I have not drastically decreased it either. i love having deserts with every meal, including snacks. My breath does not taste fruity. I hate exercising. Please give me your opinion on my situation. I will start cutting back on my sugar intake. I may edit this post later.
