I'm annoyed at the lefties who want to abolish gendered bathrooms?

The ones who are crazy and say there should be no male or female bathrooms have them all together because the non binary whackos don't believe in it, to me that's creepy and weird. I wouldn't want to use a bathroom with males and females in there at once no thanks

I've encountered a few of those washrooms at malls and stuff. I was in my teens, I walked out of the stall to a 40-year-old man at the sink. Uncomfortable

If you find a 40 year old man, just being there, in a public place, not doing anything in particular, to be uncomfortable, it may be a problem with YOU and not them.

      • Yikes it should make anyone uncomfortable if a man is in the same bathroom as a teen female.

If it was actually inside the bathroom stall then I get it. But in the public place outside it where everyone can see each other, not so much. Just learn to accept that we live in society with men and women of all ages and there is no need to fear someone solely because of their age and gender. Learn to be less judgemental of people. If hes in a toilet place he probably just needed to use the toilet himself. Maybe he should have gone to the male toilet (but if that was busy for a long time its a valid excuse)

If he actually did harass someone that's a different thing entirely, but being in the same place is not harassment.

I've never understood the male/female bathroom issue at all.

I've never seen a house with both male and female bathrooms.

A lot of small businesses just have a common bathroom.

The Greeks and Romans had communal bathrooms.

While I have not studied the issue specifically... It does appear that the drive to separate bathroom came about with the rise of the Roman Catholic Church. Something about its not appropriate for people to know what the other gender looked like, or that females pee different than males, or that females have certain issues tied to periods and more common infections that males do not.

I've 4 brothers and 3 sisters and we all spent a lot of times in the woods. We all peed and pooped in the woods as a routine (we learned to carry toilet paper, and a small garden trowel). So what. Who cares.

We also tended to skinny dip at a certain location on the river (along with many other children and teenagers).

What's wrong with just expecting people to know about the differences and just having one bathroom. For large locations many stalls. There could be an area where Ladies could apply makeup or men could shave (I've done that a few times in restrooms).

Can someone logically explain why we need separate restrooms - at all?

Where in his comment does olderdude mention any intent to cause anyone harm whilst they're in the bathroom?

It's not like he came right out and said "I think men and women should have the same bathroom because then I can bust in on a woman taking a piss and rub my hard cock up against her thigh as her stream hits the bowl"

THAT would be creepy and stalkerish. All he's doing is explaining that throughout history there has been little to no opposition to unisex toilets.

It isn't predatory to state historical facts. Facts don't care how you feel.

I guess gendered bathrooms is an american thing.
We have them over here too of course but not everywhere so at the places where there are gendered bathrooms, it always makes me question a little bit why if the bathrooms are identical to each other which is often the case. It's not like men can't piss in a toilet, they do it at home, no ?

How about this solution? All trans people use the male bathroom. The trans males win, the transwoman just have to deal. Women will be privy to their own bathroom again and males we dont give a shit if weirdos use our bathroom because we already have weird guys use the bathroom

I doubt trans people would be able to use a mens' bathroom.

The talk i heard was having a 3rd washroom which I'm all for it. The idea of having only one washroom for all i think its bogus

I honestly don't care, but people who look androgynous must be allowed to use the bathroom as well. As long as people mind their own business when they think "someone is in the wrong bathroom" its fine either way. I dont quite get how people relate identity feeling to a certain bathroom, I go to the bathroom that fits my physical sex because that the rules, its that simple
