I'm atheist with personal beliefs?

So I am atheist. Not a thing many people are willing to be upfront about it in public. So, I have this little personal belief that I keep to myself, which in turn I hope will be right. The belief is that life is energy, and energy can not die out(Law of Conservation of Energy). If energy can not die out, and life is energy, we do not truly die. Maybe reincarnation is a word that could be used for this, but does anyone else believe in this type of thing?

If you don't mind me asking what part of the world are you from? As in the UK it's very common for an atheist to state that fact and I personally feel that no-one should ever have to feel uneasy about stating their religious ( or lack thereof) belief.

I live in the USA, but in the southern regions of America. Many religious people live down in this area of the US, many christian people.

    Not upfront about?

Being an atheist is the most accepted thing you can be, say you don't believe in god and everyone gives you a pat on the back. The majority of people in the western world are atheist lol.

I don't believe in reincarnation but I also follow your idea, death is not the end just an energy transfer of sorts.

"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Heres Tom with the Weather."

Yes...we are all made of atoms, right? Those atoms were part of the stars once and we do live on. Weird, but that's what I concluded from learning physics.

Actually a physicist put force an idea like this. Said when we died our information never did and just kind of floated up into the atmosphere. Also I don't know where you have been but people are very upfront about being Atheist. In-fact many see it as something to brag about and sometimes become just as arrogant about it as They say Christians are. Being Atheist is considered "Progressive" now.

  • I think that seems logical.
I'm not sure of anything for certain but I think if there is an afterlife the most likely answer is that our energy leaves our body. It could be explained scientificly by comparing the energy to our brain waves. While we are alive our brain is a receptor to those wave, and when we die they leave, so the idea of a soul is basically brainwaves. The body is just something we use to function in this reality, but brainwaves are who we truly are.
