I'm embarrased to...

I'm embarrassed to have oncoming drivers see me put on my headlights.

Today it's not such an issue with automatic headlights and daytime running lights but in the days of manual headlight switches when headlights need to be lit I always waited until there was no oncoming traffic if possible. I've had driving lights on some of my newer cars and think the same thing. I don't want oncoming drivers witnessing the illumination.

Who cares what some random oncoming driver thinks? I do. IIN?

I find that people with social anxiety have fears like this.

HAHAHAHAHA, it's not normal but it made me laugh so it's better than normal.

teehee, well, it's mildly embarrassing i suppose. Making a dumb move in front of other drivers can lead them to disrespect you on the road. On the (rare!) occasion I do anything less than stellar by accident, i don't feel totally at ease again until the witnesses have all gone their separate ways.

  • hehehe Sure.

What if they think you turning them on is a message and they turn around and follow you to your destination to find out what you wanted. Creepy.

I used to be the same way. Then I decided that for all they knew, my automatic lights just came on.

I usually wait until there's not a car driving past but not because I'm embarrassed. Mostly because I don't want it to be distracting for them.

I do the same thing. Especially when everyone else has their headlights on, and mine aren't on yet, I'm embarrassed that I'm turning mine on late. So I keep driving till there are no cars to witness it.
