I'm going to tell my friends homophobic family that he's gay

My sister caught this fucker on her Alexa surveillance stealing a locked box filled with items. I'm talking jewelry, money, and other valuables. Some of which she was going to pass on to her son when he's older.

Later on, I confronted him, showed him the footage, and told him to surrender the items. He said he already sold the items and spent the money. I referred him to the names of banks that would give large loans to people with bad credit. He said he would do it with the understanding that no one turn him into the police.

Well he fled town. His number doesn't work anymore. His wife, his friends, and parents are worried about him. My brother and I are the only ones who know his secret and even have pictures on my brothers camera of him at the club kissing other men behind his wife's back. My brothers camera is high quality. Taking pictures is a hobby of his and he has kept every picture he's taken in his entire life even if it's mundane pictures of the sky. My sister filed a police report. She's probably never going to see the money or items she wanted to give my nephew ever again. The police go way too easy on people around here. If he gets caught, all he'll get is a slap on the wrist and be back on the streets again.

So we're just going to go on ahead and tell his ultra conservative anti gay family and wife he's gay. We're going to show them the pictures my brother has and the texts he sent confessing to us. They once said they'll disown him if he's gay. They already disowned a few gay people. If he ever comes back to town, he's fucked. IIN?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

An eye for an eye leaves the world blind, but fuck him. Poke his eye out. Get that rat

I don't usually quote Aleister Crowley, but when I do it's to say, "do what thou wilt...".

Would telling his family that he's gay solve anything? Would it not just make the guy want to more bad things? Go ahead and tell his family about what he stole, but is telling them that he's gay really necessary?

Was stealing the items from that lockbox necessary? No. Forget an eye for an eye, just practice an unnecessary action for an unnecessary action

Why did he steal the items? Why do you think it was unneccessary?

Because outside of very specific life-or-death situations, I don't believe stealing is ever necessary

Are you prepared to have blood on your hands ?
Do you know if he is vengeful ?

Once you’ve destroyed everything he has you have to understand he may have nothing to live for. What would stop him from coming after you ? If you’re ready to kill someone you’re ready to kill someone, but most people regret it after the rage has settled.

He could do it anonymously. Create a fake social media account and send the family the photos anonymously. Wouldn't even have to write a message, just let the photos speak for themselves

That entire family sounds like a dumpster fire

No, this is not a normal way to respond to this situation.

I wouldn't, it wouldn't do any good. It'd be much better to just cast him off as a typical asshole and forget about him, than to give in to your hatred and seek vengeance. It'd only mean that you'd be investing more emotion into him, and he's really not worth that.
