trust me mate, were not that special, england has a LOT of landfills and its kinda hard to be a vegetarian, ask my friend. you need at least 4 good GCSEs to get into collage and even MORE to get into university! university costs about £3000 ($6000) a term (8 weeks) our government is HORRIBLE! our prime minister is EVIL he caused us into the credit crunch! causing over 2 billion people to lose their jobs, and the royal family just sit on their arses doing nothing, and almost EVERY phone call we get is a fraud artist, and almost all buisnesses are a rip off! how do you feel about english now?!

I'm English and am so fascinated with the Russian perspective that I even learned a little Russian when I was 18. I promise you, I am just as interested in your culture as you are in mine. And my side is no more interesting than yours.

I think it's perfectly normal. You just want to branch out and explore different cultures. I'm the same way. I live in America and I'm so bored here.

Same here bro: I have even set the language on all my devices to English, and whenever I hear an english speaker (tourist, foreign student) I try to come up with a reason to talk to them lol. Perhaps you like their language and culture so much because both are widespread and usually associated with success, I mean, just look at the amount of nobel prize winners from GB and the US. And what about all of those succesful global corporations like Coca Cola, McDonalds, Starbucks, the list goes on? Not to mention popular culture:the badass American hero vs the crazy Russian villain.

God..as if you lived in my mind.well..to me I think that people tend to desire what they don't have and of course sick of what they meet.they got..every single day. Im a Vietnamese..and I dreaming about getting out of here all the time. Trust me. I don know why actually..I love English. I love every language esp English..just like you do.. I wish there was a real way that people could get through easily without obstacles..:))

I'm British (English) in every way right down to the drinking tea, hell I even love iced tea.
So I have the accent and it's my mother tongue too. I haven't got a clue how anyone could love us so much, sure the accent is pretty sexy but England is so dull and boring, it's raining almost all the time even though i love the rain and there's so many bad stereotypes surrounding us that it's just insulting.

I have yet to meet a posh English person who drinks tea and eats crumpets while playing croquet or whatever that is.
Americans have a better quality of life than us, they get cars and stuff at a much younger age.
I'm 18 and I've never sat behind a steering wheel in my life XD Unless it's a bumper car >D

Oh and dont even get me started on the royal family XD

i have a fascination with foreign things in general (im American) especially british things :)most of my family has Irish roots.

I think that's pretty normal. I also have this fascination with Italian, Mexican and French accents. I just love the diversity! :D

I can relate with fascination to another culture. I myself was born in another country but came here (America) when I was 4.

But I can tell you that Americans are fascinated by Russians and are quite fond of them. If you were to come here, I don't foresee you have any troubles finding a life for yourself.

I wish I could switch with you. I am born in america but i am Ukrainian I know the basics and I know some Russian. I am the opposite of you fascinated by that culture and dislike mine.
