I'm really scared of american rednecks

First of all, I'm not even a US citizen, but whenever I think about or see rednecks online, I get really creeped out and it's a really bizarre feeling.
In my mind's impression, the average US redneck is this loutish, obese, course, bearded man/woman thing. I know it's a negative stereotype, and not all rednecks are like that. I'm really sorry if I've offended anybody.

    Some rednecks are terrible but a lot of them are actually nice people. It's a sad stereotype perpetuated by the media that all rednecks are racist, homophobic stupid assholes. Some are just nice people who live in the country, farm and listen to country music.

    If you are fearful of a stereotype, then leave the US, if you are there, or else go back home. Then you won't be afraid anymore.
