I'm scared of my brain cells dying

Once brain cells are gone there's no getting them back and that's a thought that scares the shit out of me. I wanna keep my brain cells, but no. Nature has to make it so that our brains are just constantly rotting after we're born and it bums me out

    Your brain cells don't die once your born. That process starts happening in your later 40's or early 50's. Your brain cells grow and increase until age 21-22, then stay dormant for a while.

    Its the way it is, but there is also a process called neurogenesis(but it is quite slow).

    Well they tend to be replaced every ten years or so. Just learn something everyday, that keeps the degradation down due to old age.

      If the doctors come to me at 60 that I'm going to eventually go crazy I'm just going to suicide. Mental degradation like that is an existential crisis for someone that lives in their brain.

        But you could still exploit such a mental state to write some crazy literature, record mad podcasts, or produce thoroughly repugnant paintings, as repulsive as they are bewildering.
