I'm scared of my family dying

Hey, it sounds stupid but even the thought of death makes me scared. My mother, father and brother have helped me everyday, I am the youngest so I will die last, I'm not 100% sure but I think so.

I believe that God will always help me and guide me and Jesus Christ will always be my saviour, I pray even night and the first thing I ask for is to protect my family because I'm scared knowing I'll be all alone.

Can anyone help me??

The sad truth is that we lose the ones we love. I believe it's only a temporary loss. But you should cherish the time you have with your loved ones. They will be waiting for you someday.

I'm also deeply afraid of when my parents die, I don't even know how I'm going to handle it. And it's getting scarier now since my mom is now in her 70s and my dad just turned 70.

Just grieve please don't hold it in! When my dad's mom died he didn't want to grieve so it left him stressed and unable to work. He had to live with the why didn't I go to work because me and mom would talk on the phone on my way up to work. (He had a day off of work that day and that was the day his mom died.)Please don't let that happen to you. BTW some people lie past 100 years old. Are your parents healthy and in good health?

For the most part most people don't like the thought of their family or friends dying. It's a part of life but why focus on the end of life? Focus on making happy memories so when they do leave this world there is no lingering regret.

It's not forever. Christians like you and me are promised everlasting life in heaven through Jesus Christ. My mom told me when my grandma died that it was like she was in a different room. We cant see her now but we will see her again in heaven and that time there will be no goodbye.

    I hope this helps.

I hope you're right about seeing them again after they pass on and when I then pass on too. I've read too many atheist websites and have seen people on this site even making atheist comments. I only hope to God they are wrong.

In this life we will encounter many who will challenge our faith. We know in our heart what is the truth but because we are human we fall victim to doubt and second guessing. When you hear and see comments like that don't look at it as reason to doubt what you k ow is the truth and do use it as an opportunity to spread the good news. You might be surprised of how ready and eager people can be of hearing the truth and learning there is hope.

Our job as Christians is to go out and spread the truth always ready to give a defense for the faith within us. God will take care of the rest. Stay strong, you are not alone in this.

It's normal. I was lying awake the other night and I started thinking about death and once I got to thinking I had one of my "death panic attacks". But then I realized you should live you life instead of thinking about all the would ifs in life. And if a family member dies you should tell their story. Your family will always be alive in you heart! I hope my advice has done good for you! Just remember that life isn't worth living if you're going to think about death.

I am the same way. I think of how horrible it would be and how devastated I would be, but then I think that I have to stay here so it will not be worse for my family members and then I am like life sucks. but try not to think about death, and just if something does happen try to push it out of your mind. very hard to do, but maybe possible.

If you have a strong faith, as you said, then death is relief, you'll see everyone in Heaven. Be at peace, and live life to the fullest.

  • No one knows what happens when we die, the god squad will have you believe all their religious mumbo jumbo based on a story book over 2000 years old. Maybe there is something in it how ever unlikely that may be, but since none of us will really find out until we die stop ruining your life worrying about it and get on with living. Also if you go out and meet someone you could have kids of your own so you will not be alone without family.
