      I also have a Botfriend.

He lived inside my scalp skin for a while as a larvae, but he got too fat and the doctors had to pull him out :(

      Here's a picture of him:

I was the same way with my boyfriend. I love talking to him, being around him, etc. That might be because we have spent nearly every day for the past 5 years together, so I'm accustomed to his attention. For the longest time I would get upset if he didn't miss me when we were apart for the day, because he never vocalized it. I then began to realize that he would show me how much he missed me by his gestures, rather than his words. For example, I would walk through the door and his face would light up, or he would hug me tight and give me kisses, or he would come over to my house and immediately cuddle up with me under a blanket on the sofa.

As humans, we don't always communicate properly. But, we sure as hell show what we mean through our gestures. If yours is a new love, you're likely just in the "honeymoon" or "cupcake" phase where you just want to see your boyfriend all the time. If it is an older love, you're likely just accustomed to his attention and it feels strange not getting it. He, like you, may also fear the "clingy" label, so he may not necessarily like to say that he misses you. Have you ever bothered asking him if he misses you when you're apart? Or are you just assuming that he doesn't?
