I miss my childhood?

You know what you were when you were a child may be u did not have a problem expressing but now you do, maybe you had someone to look upto but now they are gone, may be so accustomed at being told what to do, we fail to ask for what we want. Being proud of your accomplishments, when you need a hug you went boldly and never got rejected for it, never second guessing the words coming out of the mouths, being brave and adventurous, expressing your individuality, enjoying what you do and the most lovely of all getting dirty..

But as time changed I have changed (Stupid Reasons not worth mentioning) have you changed? Why? And do you miss your Childhood?

Of Course I do.. 300

I miss my childhood but I think that's because I was so very happy as a child and my parents and everything around me were picture perfect. I don't miss it so much that it depresses me, it used to but now I tell myself I was so lucky to have a storybook childhood and now I enjoy it in retrospect.

I'd be a child forever if I could. I love being innocent, I don't want that to go away. Every horrible thing I learn I wish I'd never come across. Because I was happier before that.

And also, your childhood is where you started off. It's home. I have an massive emotional attachment to anything that is a home to me. I suppose it's a survival instinct of safety.

  • It depends entirely on how good a childhood you had on if you will miss it or not.

I had a fantastic childhood, I cant find one thing to complain about. Mayby my parents should have loved each other as much as they loved me, but they both loved me for sure.

Having a fantastic childhood is a great motivation for having kids as well, I dont really want kids as I think its massively over rated, and I dont think you get to re-live your childhood the way some parents present it as, but still I can understand where some people come from on it.

I wish I never left childhood, being an adult and working some silly job to pay bills I dont really care about is not fun. Its also not fun realizing that the buck stops with me. The toilet breaks guess who fixes it? House needs to be cleaned, guess who does it?

I would go back to being a kid in a heartbeat if I could, I think just about anybody that had a good childhood would.

I am 51 and I am finding that for the past year I am missing my childhood constantly. Even in my dreams lately, Im dreaming of the street I grew up on, and my old childhood friends. So, I just went down my old street and it made me cry...? I wanted to walk down the street and feel everything I felt as a kid. I wanted to see every yard/house/tree that I saw as a kid. Since I did this, I thought the feelings would give me closure and happiness, but the opposite has happened and I miss it even more now. I am troubled by this, and would love to know what this means...

Feel the same way. I am 50 and life is so complicated. As a kid I had friends and family in the neighborhood and we were carefree fun played all kinds of sports and games. Society as a whole has gotten more complicated. Lost times but great memories. When I see a kid in a baseball uniform it reminds me of little league and good times. Sometimes gets sad thinking about the end of innocence and youthful adventure.

So according to you if someone is 51 they should not be on the internet? Wow that's a dumb statement. Also age prejudice

Every problem in my childhood was caused by myself. I was a loner, with a divided mind and I never understood how to interact socially. Nobody ever taught me. At age 18, I finally realized that nobody is going to teach you anything; You must always figure things out for yourself, and nobody will help you or care about you.

Still, I am compelled with a sense of "paradise lost." My introvert childhood was sweet and serene. I miss those days playing video games all day, talking to that online girl for hours, and imagineering myself as a business tycoon.
