Ok, so PLEASE READ BEFORE ANSWERING.
Ever since I can remember, I've liked wearing dog collars (I remember that my parents would be freaked out about it, I was around 3 years old and I would take whatever looked like a dog collar or a dog leash and tie myself up to furniture, I used to love playing with my friends and I was mostly the pet.
I have NEVER had dogs, but I love them, I love animals! :) (so you can't say it was because I wanted to 'be like our dog' or something).
And I always wanted a dog collar... until I got one when I was a bit older and I love wearing it (I still do). I mostly have the behaviour of a dog in general... (I mean, not the 'primitive' way.... but some traits). Even most of my friends treat me like a dog (as I said, not in a 'primitive' way, I mean they love petting me and messing with my hair and things like that).

So no, I don't think it's some kind of fetish??? .... (I mean if I've been this way for such a long time.... I don't think I've had a sexual desire like that ever since I was around 3 or 4 -.-).

Please HELP. I feel like I'm a freak sometimes :(

    Well, from the looks of it there are a couple of very different options on the table for you (but both prevalent.)

    1) This can be seen as a habit or preference onset by early childhood facination. If this is the case, liking to wear a collar and having a personality that is reminiscent of a dog's is perfectly normal.

    2) There is a small chance that your behavior is indicative of an animal tenancy or facination (dog in your case, as it seems.) If this turns out to be the case and you are inclined to seeing yourself as a canine or a character that is somewhere between, the theorian or furry community may be worth looking into.
    -Look into Theorians if you feel like it's something thatt is directly connected to you spiritually or an animal that you'd like to be in its entirety.
    -Look into the Furry fandom if you feel like being an animal with human traits.

    I have an explaination for this and I am similar in a way except I am a cat. I sleep all day and have lots of traits of a cat. There are lots of people like this. I would explain it similar to someone who is born the wrong gender except we are born the wrong species. I do not relate much to humans although I can get along with them fine. There are different labels for this such as therians or furries. many furries do it as a sexual fetish but are otherwise human but there are some that actually feel they're that animal and it's not just a fetish which is more what a therian is although therians do not always dress as the animal. I often wear cat ears and have even grown out actual whiskers because I feel like I should have been a cat but somehow got a human body. Unfortunately there is a lot of negative stigma about furries. I went to a furry/therian convention a few months ago and I had a lot of fun but I did see a lot of strange behavior there. I would definitely go again next year though.
