I mostly use tv as background noise.

I rarely actually watch what's on TV, and instead mostly use it as background noise, while looking up and watching bits here and there, but going back to what I was doing. I've done this ever since I was a kid and loved to listen to the TV as I drew, and it seemed to oddly help me concentrate and even fuel my imagination for my drawings. Now, it still helps my concentration. I also just don't like it too quiet and like the background noise it offers.

This is pretty common. It works for some people because it's just engaging enough to prevent their unrelated thoughts from racing but not enough so as to distract them from their task.

I do this with the radio. Screens grab my attention too much.

I don't like to drive without the radio on in the car.

My mind currently is the static noises that come from the TV.

  • I rarely sit down and watch TV. Usually full stick a podcast on and just play games or take care of shot around the house.
