I prefer dogs over cats

Dogs aren’t like cats, which are very stupid.

Don’t be fooled – what looks like the aloof snobbery of an elevated mind that is above the petty but needs humans is not intelligence. That is just what being too stupid to understand who’s boss looks like when it is packaged in fur that walks nicely. Cats are idiots and would be extinct by now except for the fact, fortunate for them, that they are inedible.

Cat lovers, I don’t judge you, cats can be valuable as fluffy moving cushions that decorate the living room and eradicate rat issues, but dogs are much more functional in the general sense, and preferable in the moral sense.

Whereas your cat will watch you die with barest milligram of interest, your dog will fight for you and save your life.

    No one's perfect.

    • A preference for a pet that's not perfect but at least tries best to practically to compensate for that lack of perfection. Perhaps some mad scientist should try to genetically produce a cross breed between the two species of animals because I envy a cat's near-perfect night vision.

    • Your metaphor is on point, sir.

But I recommend that those of us who live in areas with muggers and robbers get dogs that we can train to meet us at the train station and then escort us home through the dark pathways the bandits infest.

With a dog by your side, you will not only get home with your phone and laptop safe, but if you trained it well enough, you might also have a canine mouthful of mugger’s flesh you picked up on the way.

        obviously

its a metaphor for the above post

im tryin to convey that its futile to compare different things like dogs & cats usin the strengths of one thing to decry the lack in somethin else

        • Ooh, like that picture of all the animals like a monkey, fish, bird etc and the guy says he'll be basing their intelligence on their ability to climb a tree?

I agree, deductive reasoning skills are important

And yeah sorry, I recently went from a V6 to a 4 cylinder and I miss hearing that engine roar, but this car's handling is really good

            • I'm just imagining how metal it would be to like attach your chainsaw to his moped

One wrong move and you're cut in half

If you have working land then ideally you want both cats and dogs. They serve different functions but are both very useful.

Entirely up to you which you prefer though.

    I respect your opinion.

However it is what pet you are more comfortable taking care of.

    However not many will agree.

I like dogs, i just hate owning them. My cat gives me dry kisses and head bunts. My dogs give icky wet kisses and bowl me over.

Everyone has their preference of pet (or some choose not to have any at all). Nothing wrong with preferring one over the other.

Personally, I love both dogs and cats, but I have to say that I'm partial towards cats in general. I don't know what it is about them, but they sure know how to capture my heart (so do dogs, but there's something so magical about cats).

I agree dogs have more practicality for the average family. Dogs domesticated themselves half way and humans did the rest. Theres a variety of dogs for whatever type of dog you want and that's without specific training. Cats can be taught basic tricks while dogs can be taught complex tasks. Dogs are loyal while cats are barely a step above feral status which is good for what they were originally used for.

People use cats as a utility like keeping spiders in the home, they eliminate the lesser pests. While dogs are more for general companionship and having a wider set of ability in its tasks. You can even train dogs to kill rats (they are less effective than cats but at least it can be done)

Sure people cling to their feline fur baby but in the case of an apocalypse they would be 100% fine. dogs on the other hand are more closely linked to their owners to the point where some dogs refused to belive their owners were dead and waited until they returned. That's why I like dogs more than cats. Truely man's best friends.
