Define old. 50s-70s cars were cool, but 80s and especially 90s cars were ugly pieces of crap.
I like the older cars and their simplicity.
Average person learned how to fix and repair them which I agree was more often then the new cars.
I do seriously doubt you'll find many 2020 cars able to run or be kept into 2070 or later because of out dated electronics.
I've got a 5yr old laptop and a 3yr old phone and they're almost obsolete and getting harder to find support or programs to work with.
We'll be lucky if every car out there by 2035 doesn't have to be converted to electric.
If you have a gas model you'll probably have to pay $15 to $25 and special order with a special permit to get a gallon of gas.
Yep, sounds like progress to me!
It depends on your definition of 'old'.
Most really old cars were anything but reliable. They would keep going with regular maintenance, repairs and replacement of various parts, but they weren't designed and built with reliability and long-life in mind.
And cars from the seventies and earlier were deadly in crashes. Have a look at this video of a crash-test contest between a 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air and a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu:

Really old cars may look cool and they're definitely massive, heavy lumps of metal, but only an idiot would want to be in one when it hit something.
I kind of agree. Some old cars are pretty sweet. The new cars are all the same but they are much safer and generally more reliable. It really depends on the manufacturer and model.
I like old trucks a lot more. Blazers, Brancos are also nice. And old school semi trucks like the peterbilts are nicer.
