I pretty much obsess over cuddling. is this normal?

I feel like it's relatively normal to cuddle with pillows and things when trying to go to sleep (Maybe not so much for a guy, but still).

I think I might be going over the top here:

-I cuddle with my pillow and fantasize about being with someone until I fall asleep. (Pretty much every night).
-I've been late to school every day recently because (surprise, surprise) instead of getting ready, I just cuddle with my pillow.
-When I come home, I tend to take a nap because I immediately flop down and cuddle with my goddamned pillow.
-Sometimes while I'm bored at school and daydreaming... I fantasize about cuddling. Woah.

Now I don't just think about cuddling, that is just a simplification. I think through all of the aspects of affection, love and whatever else comes with cuddling. I just feel like this is excessive.

(Perhaps a little back-story could be helpful)
I was forced out of a completely healthy, loving, boyfriend-girlfriend, year-long relationship five months ago.

Then maybe that's the reason you're so obsessed with cuddeling. Do you miss your girlfriend a lot? Maybe you just cudle your cushion because you miss cuddling something, in this chase, your boyfriend. This could be totally unconsious.

Sometimes I miss her. The memory of her. I've accepted that she is gone and that there is a very slim chance of ever being together again.

For me, cuddling was the most profound way I could express my love for her. I just feel kind of empty now.

I tend to feel like nobody will ever love me. Cuddling seems to the most basic form and easily imaginable love that I can fantasize about...

Yeah, that's exactly what I mean. Deep inside, you're juts not over her. But I respect you, there's nothing wrong about you. It'll get better, I know.

I thought I was the only one laying around at night on one side of the bed with pillows next to me and imagining that it's another person.

Hey completly normal. After my worst breakup I used to dream she was there with me. When I woke up I had my arms around myself. That was the worst feeling waking up seeing she wasn't there. It might help if you started sleeping somewhere else. I started sleeping on the couch instead of the bed. It did stop the dreams. But the pain was still there. With time you'll heal as did I.

I think that you miss your ex girlfriend/boyfriend,
But No I think that's normal because, you just seem like a sweet person, and it is nice to actually cuddle someone at night :p especially if your close to them, I think that cuddling is romantic, and sweet.

So Yea, I'm pretty sure your normal, my bf doesn't even like to cuddle me -_- and I'm wayyyy to clingy.

What ever you do. Don't ever be the little spoon. All pride, dignity and self confidence will go out the door.
Other than that, its completely normal to be a cuddle fan. Body pillows are the shit to cuddle with, or you could just go down to the corner and pay a hooker to cuddle with you.. but they smell like cigarettes and ball sacks. So, body pillow is the next best thing.

Why were you forced out of that one relationship?

It sounds like you're just grieving... :/

Her parents wanted us apart as soon as they realized that we were serious. I didn't share her family's religious beliefs either, and I had no desire to pretend that I did.

Her father looked me in the eyes and said "Teenagers just can't fall in love. They aren't ready. They can't handle the responsibilities."

A little part of me died.
