    Disease= dis-ease
    It's pretty normal for us not to think about things like root words and disambiguation in our language simply because there are so many words to break down. While it seems so obvious after you posted this, I had never thought about "breaking the fast".

    Yes. It is disgustingly obvious that Mediterranean Sea means "Middle Earth Sea" in Latin. Why the hell I didn't realize that when I was 14, I will never know.

              Well THAT is kind of a morbid explanation.
              Too scared to face life (chicken) so it went to the "other side".

              I heard though that a lot of kid's jokes, nursery rhymes etc have darker histories.

              But yeah I always thought it was just some lame-ass joke. Maybe at one time it was an expression commonly used to say someone had killed themself.
