I will open the door and look at the ceiling, walls, behind objects, floor. I always do this when I go to the toilet and bathroom. I do observe my room everyday to make sure everything is clear.
Over the past few weeks I'm have to check everywhere for some small bats which have moved into my house, presumably because it's very cold here and warm in my home.
I've managed with help to usher the first one outside, but either it or a similar one is back, plus a much smaller one. They keep disappearing and reappearing in very strange places, for example inside a face washer hanging in my shower recess, which gave me a big surprise when I went to use it to wash my face!
I don't mind them except I think there are now three or four and it feels as if they're taking over and well and truly outnumnbering me. I now have to check every hanging item of clothing before putting it on, also towels and pockets.
When I was a little girl there was a furry, little black spider that lived in frame of my canopy bed. The spider never bothered me, and I never tried to get rid of him. We just lived together in peace in my room.
i check every nook and cranny of my room before i sleep. if i see one it's gonna be acquainted with the bottom of my shoe, well not my shoe. probably my brother's, cos spider guts.
I currently have a family of zebra jumping spiders living in my front room. I'm cool with it.
There was a huge jumping spider in one of the bedrooms I don’t use, i let him rest there for the night since i Couldn’t cup him as he was staying to the corners. I put a towel under the door and everything but I never saw him again. Biggest jumping spider I ever saw almost the size of a wolf spider !! I also had 2 garden spiders make webs across the whole passenger seat and backseat of my car, I just left them there and they ride along.
Just think how many assorted critters have crawled on you while you've slept. Probably dozens.
