I see steam coming from my shoes when i take them off. iin?

I have a pair of adidas superstars I bought two weeks ago. Usually shoes don't start smelling bad unless you have bad foot hygiene. Recently, whenever I wear my shoes, my feet start getting warmer and when I take them off, they feel hot inside. I put my hand in one of my shoes and it feels really warm. Then I look at them closer, I see steam.....yes. .the steam you would only see in a cartoon version of smelly shoes. Except it's not green steam.

I wear clean socks all the time and shower a lot. But I can't explain why literal steam comes from my shoes. It's like my feet work in a sweat shop and when I take the shoes off, my feet is taking an hour lunch break. Iin?

    I kicked a fungus riddled dead stump once, when my foot made impact, the wood caved in and a puff of white spores burst out. Maybe you got fungus growing in your sweaty shoes and you jostle spores loose when you move around in them. Maybe that’s a stupid theory.

    Perhaps it’s actually whatever material/chemical components in them breaking down from friction or moisture? Very poor design and manufacturing if that’s the case.

    it is the warmth of your feet into a cooler atmosphere. nothing to do with stink like in the cartoons. I have seen someone take their hat off in the winter time and steam was coming off their head.

    How cold is the environment when you pull out your foot. The high moisture in your shoe is reacting to the outside moisture and tempeture. Same thing happens when you exit a sauna, your body is steaming.
