Ever since I can remember, I sneeze when I eat a peppermint candy or any other mint. It's embarrassing and uncontrollable. Like when sneezing when the sun hits your face. Does this happen to you? Am I normal?
It's normal, it's called "Photic Sneeze Reflex" It can be brought on by sudden inhalation of cold air or a strong flavor in foods like mints or onions. Something about having a bunch of nerves in your head and sometimes they get their signals mixed up if something is strong (sunlight, flavors, etc.) It is a big issue for fighter pilots, a big no-go issue.
My brother used to sneeze whenever he took medicine. I'd say Fartyr is right.
Haha I sneezed when I read this. Weird. But yes, it's normal for mint to make you sneeze.
