I suddenly cant wear deodorant

In the past two months I cant put on deodorant without getting really irritated! I think it started when I used a new 24-hour one which may have been too strong, but even now that Ive switched back to my regular one I still am getting burning and some small red bumps. Ive never had this before and I haven't been wearing any. Can you become suddenly sensitive to products?

Your skin may be sensitive to various chemicals. There are numerous solutions to this, change the brand, spray it on your clothes only or don't use it at all.

Please, ignore my previous comment. I almost dropped my phone and as I grabbed it, the screen interacted with my hand and submitted that comment.

What your experiencing is an allergic reaction. It used to happen to me with commercial deodorants that used chemicals and some natural deodorants. I found relief by switching to Jason's and one other deodorant. I can't remember what the later is called, but the cap is blue-green, the label is green and the container is white. That one has lichen and green tea among some other natural ingredients. I don't suggest using Tom's. It worked well, but it caused an allergic reaction myself and others.

I've had this issue before. It's caused by either an allergy to the deo's ingredients (use something more natural, or find another brand*) or shaving irritation.

*Sometimes, trying another form of deo helps. I went from solid stick to liquid stick, and it did the trick. But to try a variety for cheap/not waste the deo, try getting the travel sizes until you find one that works.

Also, use Neosporin on the burning areas. It's a lifesaver...

It's probably just a heat rash.

Absolutely. When I was first going grey, my hair was all salt and pepper and it looked terrible. I began using that male hair coloring, but after a while I started to get horrible rashes on my scalp. I called the company and they kinda shrugged, saying it happens that some become allergic to the product, and advised I stop using it. No helpful "try this or that", nothing; just stop using it. Needless to say I did.
