First, it's unwise to seek medical advice from a bunch of random internet people. There are lots of credible websites where you can find good information on drugs, but you shouldn't ever rely on what you get from any social media site.
You've obviously discussed this with your doctor, so I have to wonder why you're asking this question here. It is true that doctors are only human and they regularly screw up for all sorts of reasons, but your doctor will be aware of your medical history, your current condition, and the possible treatments available. If they're a good doctor, they will have made a decision on what - all things considered - is the best course of treatment for you (or maybe the least bad course of action).
Having said all that, ibuprofen is generally considered a safe medication. As a general principle, taking any drug at high doses for a long period isn't a great idea. But with any chronic condition where there's pain, it's often a matter of finding the right balance between having a decent quality of life and limiting the damage that a pain-control medication causes.
My doctor has told me that you can take 8 aspirins a day and that this has NO side effects... I've heard others, including my mom, have been told the same thing by doctors. Shocking and vile that they would even spread such lies, as it is very damaging to the organs in your body and makes you dependant on pills. You can start getting rebound headaches for example if you take pills like these everyday not to mention the damage it does to your liver as well as putting you at risk for ulcers. Makes me think some doctors want you to damage your body further, god damned psychopaths.
The amounts mentioned are absolutely too much a day. You've provided no explanation for why you take this pill but if it is for pain you should find ways to manage it without taking so much ibuprofen or else you're going to end up seriously hurting your body.
Ibuprofen is an NSAID, those are very hard on your stomach and one of the main causes of ulcers. I believe on a bottle of advil it says not for continued use longer than two weeks. I’m not a doctor, but I’m skeptical of anyone who would tell you it’s okay to take them continuously for years.
If you take it daily look into supplementing NAC its great for your liver.

You'll need a new liver in about 10 to 15 years if you keep at that pace.
