Animals obviously have many of the same thoughts and feelings humans have. I feel like they are not much different from us except that we have all the power. So they should be protected like human children are. Otherwise we should be allowed to eat children.

I don't think a dog would care much for a SSN or birth cirtificut, but I do agree in any forms of abuse violators should be prosecuted similarly. I tend to like most animals more than humans any day of the week
I prefer animals to children. Children are loud, dirty, and ruin your lives and take your freedoms away.

I do however agree that abusing or torturing animals should be just as punishable as doing so to children on the basis that they are both conscious beings who are capable of feeling pain (apart from insects, insects can fuck right off)
It's true that animals need and deserve better protection from abusers and should have a lot more rights than they do but children are the most important. Children should always be first in this world and should be 100% protected from abuse, neglect, abandonment, etc. To say that animals and children should have the same equal rights is ridiculous! These are human beings for for chrissakes.
Satan corrupts the mind of humans and makes animals equal to humans. Satan is right about one thing . those that feel man is no better than a dog deserve to die as a dog.
Animals do deserve to be protected, but not in the same way as human children. Animals deserve to be respected and co-exist with humans in this environment.
However, same rights as humans have in the societies have created. I would say absolutely not. Until all human children are truly protected, it is absurd to go down that road with animals. How can we know how to truly protect and give the same rights to animals when we do not do the same for all human children. You have to take care of yourself before you can take care of others.
