I think more men should wear makeup.

Not just mascara and a little dab of lip gloss like emo boys wear. I would like to see them cover up their acne scars and blemishes with concealer and foundation. Use eye shadow, nail polish, bronzers, mascara and lip enhancing shades of lipstick. Since they'll look like models they should dress like them too.

I'm tired of men dressing and looking like they just stepped out of a cave wall painting. I'm mean seriously, their appearance and style is way outdated (no offence). Also, I think beards and moustaches are overrated and undeservingly glorified by the media. A lot of men look way better without them and they should cut them off! They should grow the hair on their heads instead.

But I do think after a certain age like, say, 30, they should stop wearing makeup or use less because when they reach that age and are physically mature most men lose their boyish/feminine qualities and, by extension, they lose most of their physical attraction; they'd run the risk of looking like drag queens. (I have nothing against drag queens, I just find most of them physically unattractive.)

And. Of course I don't think all men should try to wear makeup, not every man will look good in it. I just wish more men who can pull it off would. Anyone else agree with me?

I think they should if they WANT to. And should be able to do so without being judged by some members of society.

And women should feel comfortable going without makeup without worrying about feeling ugly. Unfortunately there's a billion dollar industry sabotaging their self esteem daily.

I like makeup because makeup is nice. It's fun and it's self art. I can be perfectly confident without wearing make up and I am most of the time. Just because people wear makeup doesn't mean that they have a bad self esteem.

feminine males should wear makeup to distinguish themselves from the masculine males?

      Comment Hidden ( show )
  • This is primarily just your opinion. Most females I have seen on this topic think the complete opposite.

Anyway, men used to wear make up quite often in the past.

"physically mature most men lose their boyish/feminine qualities and, by extension, they lose most of their physical attraction".

Men age better than women in physical attraction, so I don't know what you're getting at here. Femininity is not the epitome of physical attraction.
For example, ancient societies glorified male beauty more than they did female beauty, due to there not being cosmetics as much as there is today. Men naturally look better, their skin tends to age better, too. The whole point so many women use make up at those ages is to cover the flaws of being that age, so the same would be used for men.

Honestly? Not really. Men have a good natural appearance if they look after their body and health, and they don't rely on make up to be attractive. That's what I have always liked about the male gender, we're able to look good without cosmetics.

Agree, some jobs require women to wear make up, it should be the persons choice.

So you want us to be as fake as you all are?
Cover up our flaws for what reason?
I for one enjoy waking up the next morning with a girl I can recognize as the one I went to bed with the night before, not some complete stranger, I've never seen before.
I HATE the smell and look of make up and have NEVER met a woman who looks better with it on; just fake and "plasticy".
If you are so very insecure that you won't walk out the door unless you look like some kind of freaky clown, then I pity you.
Not for me; "I yam what I yam..."

I think the most offensive thing about your post is that you think men over the age of 30 are unattractive. And your reasons for thinking this are even weirder. Because men lose their feminine qualities as get older? So you are apparently attracted to other women, which means you're a lesbian

So in other words you want men to turn into girls? I honestly do not think anyone needs make up. Covering up scares and pimples well yes I will give you that. Maybe bathing every once and while which most men don't seem to do would be another suggestion but I don't think we should be forcing men to get make up done.

If you want to kiss a guy in blue mascara and a poofy dress you can try drag Queens but I don't think everyone needs make up. This goes for women as well. Women are much prettier without all the make up. Women do not look real with a ton of make up. Maybe very lite make up but I don't think we need to be forcing people to look like walking mannequins. I want to talk to people not dolls.

Personally I think a tomboy is cuter than a buety Queen and I think masculine men are better looking than a lady gaga impersonator.

Me and my boyfriend were actually having this conversation the other day. I don't think it would be so bad if men at least had the option to spruce things up. Why should make up and shaving just be for women? But on that note, why shouldn't it be okay for women to go eau naturel? I'm not a big supporter of makeup myself, but I'll wear it for photos and fancy occasions etc.. I just don't think people need it. To each their own I guess

I'm all for females not wearing makeup (I find it more attractive). But as far as not shaving...no. Females need to shave there pits and legs.

Nope they really don't. I've let it grow out before in the winter since no ones seeing it anyways, and it's really not all that bad. Women grow much finer hair than men, it's not like we'd being walking around looking like Sasquatches. In all actuality, it's not even that noticeable unless you really look.

If no one sees it's fine. But it is noticeable especially if you have dark hair.
