I think people deserve to die

However they only deserve to die if for a few reasons:

1) If there was a justified reason to it for ie murdering someone ( depends on the evidence though )
2) They deserve it if they have done other crimes like for example the forbidden topics ( which I can't and will not speak about )
3) If they have impacted someone's childhood then they will deserve the death
4) If they were part of a bad history such as Nazi officers/soldiers
or any other infamous groups
5) If people are kidnappers
6) If people are an abuser

In summary: Yes I do think people deserve to die for those reasons, they also deserve it solely because they can badly effect those who can't forget about them but I may be wrong.

You should probably calm down with the moral superiority when you're canoodling on a dog fucker website. Are there bad people? Sure. Do you have the squeaky clean conscience that should enable you to literally condemn others to death? No...that's crazy as fuck. You don't get to decide who's worthy of the death penalty. You're not a good enough person. None of us are

& you absolutely CAN mention the "forbidden topics"

See: grandma fucking dog raping child bangin'. Look how not banned I am...there's no moderation here. Fuckin' children grandma dogs who I'm related to

I am intrigued... what to you is a good reason to kill? I have a couple of basic thoughts but I wanna hear you first.

You mean what I thought were your reasons for killing, right? I thought you would say stuff like self defense, which was the obvious, anyone would say that. But also thought something like revenge or maybe sacrificing one for many. The basic stuff.

To prevent grave harm to myself and others. Vague but covers all my points.

Death penalty was abolished in most first world countries because of the high percentage of innocent people that were being killed. Also lots of the crimes on that list (incest, abuse, impacting someone’s childhood) aren’t necessarily serious enough to warrant the death penalty

Death penalty is just the sovereign state doing the killing. It's of course its bad to accidently kill innocents. That's why we make pretty damn sure now says and even then theres a long lengthy process to do it and then you might even be downgraded to just life in prison.

Still I belive it's a net good for the death penalty to exsist as a punishment. Even if you dont use it. Nothing says dont do these crimes like potentially being killed. T(hat probably doesnt look too good to saint Peter at the gates of heaven) killed by the state of Ohio yadayada...

The problem with that is innocent people will be executed too. Its unavoidable.

That's becoming rarer and rarer with new technology. It's never gonna get to 100% but I think 99% with a 1% margin of error is still good.

The death penalty keeps options open for the usa. No capital punishment for any crime is stupid because that devalues human life. Oh you were seen killing numerous children? Since our country doesnt have a death penalty I guess you'll just get locked up for the rest of your miserable life. In that instance the murderer was valued more than the murdered innocents.

Me personally I believe 1 innocent person is too many to be executed. Im quite libertarian on this issue. The fact is there will be some innocent ppl executed and 1 is not worth it to me. I think its better to give life and that way atleast not a single innocent person will be executed.

Shit happens. Humans arent perfect but we are trying. Theres never going to be no murderers so theres always a reason to keep the death penalty open.

Yeah death should be a punishment, but not for some of the things you've listed. If someone beats their partner/child it's not worthy of death I think.

So is animal abuse. There are some crimes that are bad. Then there are ones that are REALLY bad. Some are so abhorrent that capital punishment seems like the easy way out. Still it gives solice to the victims and give added trust to the institution of law. Dont want people hiring assassins to kill prisoners eh?

People support the death penalty because they believe that the criminal justice system always convicts only guilty people. Since they're certain they're good people and the people they care about are also good people, that allows them to believe that neither they nor their loved ones will ever be unjustly sentenced to death.

To date, around 170 people who were sentenced to death in American courts in cases over the last fifty years have been exonerated and released. Others have died in prison before they were exonerated; some were exonerated only after they were executed. And there's no doubt that some of those on Death Row right now are innocent of the crimes they were convicted of. Sometimes, there's no DNA evidence available which proves that someone else committed the crime. In other cases, the witnesses who committed perjury that led to conviction are still lying (possibly for self-serving reasons). And in some cases, prosecutors are continuing to conceal evidence of the person's innocence because being shown to have deliberately corrupted the justice system doesn't look good when they stand for re-election.

No criminal justice system is perfect, but the American criminal justice system is so thoroughly screwed up in so many ways that any American who supports the death penalty is demonstrating that either they're stupid or they're totally lacking in empathy. Stupid because that's what it is to believe that there's no chance at all they'll ever be charged with a capital crime, and it's only evil people who are convicted of crimes and punished. Showing a lack of empathy because they just don't give a shit if people are occasionally unjustly convicted and executed as long as they don't know them.

As for your list of crimes which you believe are deserving of death, that's pretty stupid too. Even the most repressive regimes don't sentence people to death for everything you list.

Still the idea of a death penalty keeps doors open for options. Honestly I have no problem for the death penalty it's a hell of a lot more humane than the old ways of execution (one of the many forms of agony humans made into an artform)

Sure 170 people were innocent. But that's just an 11% error rate over the last 2 centuries. That's still pretty good.

Honestly I think america prisons should be updated. Put some TVs in the prisoners cells, keep their brains on sports and other shows, rather than escape or violence.
General prison reform and justice reform too is good.

Death penalty should still be a thing in states that want that option and it should always be an option on the federal level. Your morality isnt nation wide. So it's better to keep a system that keeps all humane punishments in stock. Yes it is humane to kill a prisoner if the prisoner is proved without a doubt that they are guilty. Which still 11% error rate over 2 centuries is still pretty good. We can get that percentage hopefully to 99% for our times.

Yes it's normal to think people deserve to die, I think they deserve to die simply because they ruin your life or are trying to kill you, it won't hurt them if they threatened you with a gun and you shot them in self-defence, but it would hurt an innocent person. If you're the black sheep that must mean you're not being accepted into the family as these are things only a black sheep would understand. Therefore you deserve to die if you even kill a king. Regicide's illegal, it's even illegal in Australia, when Queen Elizabeth rocks up there you're not allowed to kill her, you're not even allowed to touch her, we all know a queen has a vagina and has sex with her husband.

We all die... so that part of your wish is OK.

Prematurely ending a life is really only justified in typically rare situations outside of war (and there are justifiable wars, although many are not).

I cannot see it for many of the reasons you cite.

I can see it for self defense; and in cases where people have truly demonstrated multiple times that they really are a danger to society (multiple significant criminal convictions - with all based on real solid evidence that they committed the crime (DNA, other physical evidence) - and not just testimony. Although in most cases its cheaper to just imprison for life.

My personal belief is that any society that does not permanently remove from the society those that clearly demonstrate that they are dangerous and will not live to the rules of the society - will collapse from rot because they did not remove the bad apples. These people must be removed from society. In limited cases, the death penalty is appropriate.
