I hate thinking about some degenerate owning my stuff. Everything - clothes, electronics, furniture - it all goes in the garbage. Is this normal? I have too much respect for items that have been a part of my life, to just give them away like I don't care. I like to know they've had a proper burial, in a landfill somewhere.
What about victims of natural disasters? Charities give them stuff, too.

If a person is poor but working and trying to carry their own weight, I've have very high respect for them. I would rather give them my "hand-me-downs" than to throw them away. Many times, poor people know the value of a dollar more than middle income or wealthy people. Many times, "poor people" sew the holes in their clothes, grow and preserve their food, do their own home and auto repairs, and most importantly, spend time with their families because they can't afford to do things that wealthier families can. And usually, those people are the first to come to a neighbor in need.
So poor equals degenerate? Idiots like you fill up landfill with useable items which be recycled or help others down on their luck. I don't understand your mentality but I do know I don't like it
