I usually lose every job i get

I have a lot of trouble keeping my jobs. I mostly work in retail or service but I have two main issues. I have anxiety looking at people and cannot be pushy selling or getting people to sign up for credit cards. My bosses want us to hound everyone to sign up its not enough to just ask...they want us to talk about it the entire time and not take no for an answer.
The other issue is since I never have the sane schedule I forget when I work. I miss days or come in late sometimes I even come in on my days off. This has always been a problem, I can look at my hours three times in the morning but I cannot remember if I start at 3,4,4:30 etc. I have trouble concentrating and interacting with customers is painful IF I have to push them to sign up for credit cards.I need help lol.

Keep a date book so you can write down when you work and set alarms on your phone to wake you up.

I can't really help with the selling part I'm not good at that either.

Maybe get a job that has the same hours every week and one that doesn't require interacting with people directly. You just need a steady routine, as many people with anxiety do

    • That's what I want! I have a lot of trouble with the schedule when one week I have 30 hours mostly nights and another one with 12 hours during the day. I'm looking for a job now BTW .

Good for you ! I work a job with the same hours every night (I work11pm to 7am) and I'm away from people. It helped my anxiety a lot, though the night shift is killing me. Anyway hope you find something suited for you ! Goodluck

            • Retail sucks so bad!
You get in trouble for being too nice but you can't be rude.
You get blamed for the wrong prices or being out of stock...one a woman screamed at me for putting make up ( in a package) with clothing that was the only things she bought.
I'm seriously done with retail or grocery stores .
Sorry, um sure you know exactly how it is.

Your first problem is easily solved by changing jobs. Why not be a stock person, loading dock person or cleaning person etc. and not work with people at all.
The second one is all on you. Why is it so hard to write your schedule in a little book that you keep on your person at all times and refer to it often so you don't miss work? That isn't a very hard thing to figure out, so I have to assume you just want to get fired. That might bring us back to the first problem and solution, because if you don't have to deal with people and sell shit, maybe you won't want to miss work so much.

    • I really do have anxiety lately. I can't even look at people anymore.
I think subconsciously I really want to find a job like you say, not directly working with people. I'm looking into classes on filing and billing.
I will try keeping the schedule in my car in future but preferably I getbthevsame hours each day...that would solve it for sure.
