I've been having strange episodes for years

For many years, in fact as long as I can remember I've had strange episodes that I guess can be explained best as an altered state of consciousness. It happens every day and lasts usually about 7 hours or so. During this time I often but not always have vague visions which are sometimes audible. When I come out if this state it's usually morning and I go about my day as usual as if it happens to everyone though im sure it doesn't. It's crazy really. Has anyone here ever heard of such a thing and if so do you know how this condition might be treated? Thank you in advance for your help.

    • Is that the medical term for it? Do you know of any treatments available?

Are you talking about being asleep, and dreaming perchance?

That sounds like depersonalization/dissacosiation, but auditory hallucinations...those are serious.

Nobody can diagnose you online, but that's a schitzoaffective symptom. It's serious & it's something you should deal with now before it gets exacerbated to the point where you can't distinguish hallucinations from reality.

I get that it sounds scary, but there's a fuckload of misconceptions about this type of mental disorder. It's extremely treatable. Peoole who have it often respond really well to medication & lead perfectly normal lives. It's treatable, but I'd treat it now. There's nothing wrong with seeing a doctor & you should. You know, full well that hearing things that aren't there is not normal.

    • Did you really think I was describing something other than sleep?

I was reading a medical journal from the 1920's and it described sleep as I did above and I was wondering if I described it in the same way if people would see that I was actually talking about sleep.

        :(

I'm sorry, I really am, but what you're saying doesn't make any sense at all. It bugs my soul. You should get some help.

idk it was the first suggestion and had random numbers so i made the numbers 69420. idk what “yooper” signifies to you but to me it has to do with the “U-P” or Upper Peninsula. i like it tho it sounds cool to say.
