One day I was sitting in my pajamas around 8 pm watching some dumb show (I was a little kid). I started playing with my penis under the table in the family room where nobody could see me. It felt incredible, and ever since then I've been masturbating. I know it's normal now (I'm 19) but someone my age who has been masturbating for 15 years, what do you think? Because I think it's pretty 'off'..

    Young children play with their genitals because it feels good and it's interesting. It's normal, it's just that most adults shame them, when there is no harm in them exploring their bodies.

    They just need to be taught not to play with themselves at inappropriate times, is all.

      I agree. I just had the impression that very few people began to 'explore their bodies' at such a young age like I did. Like, I can't remember a time in my life when I DIDN'T masturbate. It's actually really strange.

        They actually start playing with genitals in utero. Girls tend to be later than boys cos it's not...you know...hangin' out there. Hah.

        Though howami raises a good point. It's not sexual at this age, it's purely cos it feels good. Though I believe it is still classes as masturbation, but I could be wrong.

    I remember "riding" the back of my grandmother's couch when I was 4 or so. I didn't know why, but it was my favorite pastime, and then, to my delight she gave that couch to my mother. It was just the right shape, and of a corduroy material. I masturbated until I got married at 29, so you got years of pleasuring yourself to go.

    I know a child that likes to play with his penis. However he isn't getting sexual gratification from the experience so I wouldn't consider it masturbation.

    I honestly don't remember when I didn't masturbate. I think I started when I was 4 or 5. My earliest memory was Kimberly on the original Power Rangers. I have a foot fetish, and it was way back then that I started masturbating to her feet on the balance beam during the intro sequence and occasionally during the show.

    I used to run behind a chair at my baby sitters, lay face down so I could see the TV and do the dirty.

    Its really weird to think about, 5 years old and I was already a fetishist.
