Isn't the idea of drinking alcohol to enjoy the taste and relax?
I wouldn't want booze that was completely tasteless. Even bland vodka has it's own flavor. Why get rid of taste?

Actually vodka means water in Russian. You're about a thousand years late.
Actually some people put a bunch of juniper and citrus and other botanicals in it 999 years ago and called it gin.
Pretty sure it would get banned as people would abuse it, given it tastes non-alcoholic enough to fool people...
