I wanna do one across the cheek or eye like the bad guys have in anime but I don't want it to look stupid I want it to look real so I can tell people I was in a gang

You sound like you're about twelve, so adulthood probably seems an eternity away, but you might consider how potential future employers and romantic partners would perceive your facial disfigurement.
People with facial scars are stereotyped by many, and not in a positive way.
How are you going to make money without a job? Are you just going to conjure it out of the air?
You're going to start a business or something? Anyway, I would strongly advise you not to scar your face.
Interests and passions often come and go, especially silly ones like wanting to look like a badass anime guy or gangster. Scars, however, stay.
Are you prepared to see a scar, that you put on your face impulsively, everyday for the rest of your life?
Are you prepared to have people you meet see it, unfortunately, as part of their first impression?
You're going to make your own money? As in counterfeiting?
Get into that line of work, and you might find that scars on your face and the rest of your body come as part of the package.
Get sunburned repeatedly and let a dermatologist do it. Leave scars to the pros.
I'm suspicious that this is a troll post. Apologies to the OP if it isn't, though.
This is totally normal, we’ve all been that weeb kid who wanted some cool anime dude scar, I know that I’ve wanted one.
Seriously, don’t slit your face dude. Even if it’s just for a nose scar don’t do it.
It's pretty poseurish if it doesn't happen organically. Perhaps you could break your own ankle and pretend it was an old football injury
Better get a tattoo instead self-hurting. Seems more clever solution and if one day you change your mind you can still get the pain for scarification during the laser removent 😃
same reason gay men wear earrings , even married ones , its free advertising.
I can't lie. I actually burnt the numbers to a religious psalm into my thumb with a paper clip. I believe I also tried to burn the inside of my forearm, but I can't remember exactly. I just remember wearing some big bandage all across my arm at work and feeling like I wanted people to think I was a bad ass or something.
I actually went to the ER because after I did it I felt stupid and wanted to make sure I didn't give myself tetanus or something LOL. Received the bill and felt kind of dumb, but we all do something really strange like this at some point maybe in our own different ways. I don't think people can really tell the numbers of the psalm but you can tell it's scarred. I can tell the numbers well enough just because I know them.
So, in short, I think it's normal but the physical scars that we grow to respect are the ones we don't aim to get. For example, when I was a toddler I was running through the house and slipped because the dishwasher was leaking and my teeth went completely through my under-lip apparently. Scar looks pretty cool. Have some other stories, but a scar without a real story is just kind of dumb.
