I want to be an artist but.

I am still young but stressing out because I am worried that in the future I will not be able to find or get a job because I dropped out of school too early. Where I live, school is important but for me I find it difficult going to school, you have to earn credits to get a good job and I suck at most subjects like maths and it made me feel useless because it was hard. I don't want to go back to school because I get bad bad bad anxiety. Anyways my most biggest dream job is to be an artist- Sketching and painting faces. I always wanted to become really famous but feel like this could never happen because I am the most stupidest uneducated person of all time.

You'll never get a job 7

its funny in high school i was good at art and i dont mean some wimpy assed high school art class. it was the american acedemy of athens where they hire working artists for the instruction. but i knew in my heart i would never be allowed to become an artist. society needed my mind for more practical endeavors and I like anyone else, are owned by the beast system of control. I have three college degrees. And i fucking hate them for wasting my life. some day im taking the degrees down off the wall , turning them over and painting pictures on the paper. As if to say i win , you didnt get me i win.

There are tons of successful people who didn't graduate. That being said you can succeed but you have to work hard if you want to have a successful life.

You can do both! there are many schools that cater to the artistic type, look for schools that do graphic design. it doesn't have to be a great school. on google search for Videogame design schools, or graphic design schools. I went to one before finding out it wasn't for me (i'm more of a musician) and we did 0 math, we learned photoshop, how to make 3d models online, and a classical painting course. it was great, Art all day everyday!

  • Stay in school. Most "artists" are bums. Draw on the side if it is your passion but stay in school!

You don't really 'go and get a job' painting.. You have to just do it, get known, and hope to sell some work.

You should definitely stay in school but draw on the side. I draw a lot and I was already thinking of doing things like commissions as well as just selling my art. But you should just stay in school in case drawing and such does backfire. There are many artist in the world and it can be hard to get famous, You can easily go online and ask a artist to draw you something for money. But as long as you stay true to your dream, I'm sure you can do it!
