My wife's sister is divorced and she isn't getting any. I know we would both enjoy it, but my wife worries about emotional attachment. We are all in our 50s, and my sexual appetite far outpaces hers.

Sounds as if you've already talked to your wife about it. Are you including her as in threesome or wanting sis by her self. Me and sis can share just about anything but a guy behind my back or not including me would probably not work. Together not a problem may even bring back a few teenage memories. Wife could even wake up some of that sex drive you think is missing. At 50 or 60 this could be a perfect relationship. If wife is on board and sis is not looking for a personal or possessive relationship it might work out.
Sounds like you have already talked to your wife about it and she has told you she isn't happy about it.
So I think you either need to forget about it or end your marriage.
Sounds to me that if you had met more than two women in fifty years you wouldn’t be in this mess.
Sisters of all kinds are just right there on that long list of forbidden fruits.
