I wish i got all those crazy covid vaccine side effects

I was told that if I got vaccinated, I'd get really sick. Family and friends who never got vaccinated kept insisting that I don't get it and got really emotionally upset when I did. They cried like toddlers over it. Idk why.

But anyway, my coworkers who were vaccinated all claimed they had things like fever, sore arm, runny nose, body aches, sore throat, and fatigue so bad that they called in sick. I got none of that shit except for the sore arm. I wasn't sick, so I came into work the next day. Some of them later admitted they were fine, but just didn't want to work.

I kind of feel gyped and lied to. I didn't get sick like the friends and family whined about. I didn't get any cold like symptoms like some of my coworkers. Is it normal?

The side effects aren't a good thing to wish you have.

    • Yeah I'm aware. I'm glad I'm healthy.

I think part of my disappointment is that people blew the vax thing out of proportion. The pro vax people act like babies and the anti vax people act that way too.

I actually felt extremely sick after mine for a few days. Same with my parents but my friends actually didn't feel sick at all. I think it is different for everyone.

    • Yeah it is. It would just be interesting to see what the effects were like is all.

I wish everyone didn't make a big deal over the vaccine. Either get it of dont. I've seen grown ass adults arguing in tears with each other over it about how it'll either benefit it or hurt others.

I felt more sick from the vaccine (second dose) than I had been for several years prior, mostly having fever and very low energy. But its not so bad people need to fear it. I dont get wishing you were sick, its not pleasant. But maybe if you really hate your job it could make sense

Sounds like you just wish you also lied.

    • I probably should've. It would've gotten me a day off work and I'm there 5-6 days a week. I'm way too stubborn to be absent from work.

You sound like the type to never use their sick days lol

        • I never use vacation and sick days in one shot. I kind of scatter them throughout the year. It's probably not the best strategy. Haha
