I woke up with testicle pain

I am 20 years old(If that's important). I woke up this morning with someone banging on my door and ringing the door bell. I woke up and when I was about to get up my left testicle started hurting bad, probably the worst pain I've ever experienced. I had to basically limp to the door. I hope it isn't ball torsion but it might be. I can barely bend over. My balls aren't swollen or anything, but maybe I should keep an eye on it? My dad said it will probably go away, I sure hope he's right. What should I do?

Go to the doctor now. 6
walk it off faggot. 3
Wait like 4-8 hours and if it still hurts go get it checked out. 2
At least wait a day and tomorrow if it still hurts go get it checked out. 11

Try keeping your ball sack supported or elevated with a jock strap or somewhat snug fitting underwear (No boxers)and/or lying down. See if that helps or makes it feel better. I'd wait a day to see if it gets better. If not go to a doctor.

Love your balls and they'll love you back.

    • I had boxers on before, I just put on some fitted underwear and I can definitely notice a difference. It feels better with these on, thank you very much!

        Glad I could help.
Sounds like what one of the other posters mentioned about the blood collecting in the veins, varicocele. I had a similar problem so Now I just wear briefs and haven't had a problem since.

I had a similar pain after someone sack tapped me in school. It would come and go but it ended up being a vericoseal (not sure on spelling). This is basically when blood pools up in the veins in your scrotum causing pain. My buddy had a legitimate torsion and it was so bad that he could not walk, nor limp. If you are able to limp it may be a vericoseal, if not then im sorry but torsion is likely. Seek help quickly if the latter is true.

    • Yeah, I can still limp and move, it just hurts. They say people are puking and feel nausea when they have testicle torsion, but I haven't had any of that.

      • I just got up and walked around. I can walk now, it still hurts, but no more limping.

That's what im saying. For me the pain would be terrible one day then ok the next. Probably happened 3 or 4 times over a couple years before I got it looked at. They said the surgery can be a temporary or permanent fix. I would wait and see if it comes back before you do anything. Good luck.

Happened to me before one day and I had to deal with it. IIRC testicular torsion is like the most painful thing next to giving birth, as described by previous sufferers. Might also be inflammation, which I figured I had. Take some Aleve or something then if you can manage the pain, I'd say wait till tomorrow. My $0.02 is that if you had testicular torsion, you wouldn't be able to type, you would be in the ER lol

I imagine waking up in a panic because some asshole was beating the hell out of the door and ringing the door bell probably did not help matters.

Usually when someone has testicular torsion, it hurts a lot worse than you are describing, like you would be puking in pain.

If this goes on more than a day, get your ass to the doctor.

  • The next day my lefty barely even hurt. I could move and even run if I wanted to. I think I'll be okay, thank you everyone.

Are you the same guy who said he got a pain in his left testicle when he came? Sure sounds familiar.

Balls are fragile. I wouldn't panic over one day of pain. As you age, you learn that lots of random short term pain can be ignored. Otherwise you be at the Dr. daily. If the pain persists, then see your Dr.

Epididymitis is an inflammation of the epididymis. The epididymis is a tube located at the back of the testicles that stores and carries sperm. When this tube becomes swollen, it can cause pain and swell in the testicles.
