Just like others that are almost certain to get a beating in prison, so they send them to their own secluded areas. I have a nephew that's in prison and he is HIV+. THEY keep him in a different area where others that would like to beat his ass, they cant get to him.

    • I really oppose the current strong (almost bullyingly so) push to literally reject biology in order to cater to a person's gender identity, but I would never want to see someone, transgender or not, get beaten for something like that. If they did something shitty to earn the beating, that's a totally different story

That right there is one reason why prison terrifies me. On one hand I look smell and sound like a woman. On the other hand I have a dick. I'm pretty fucked no matter wich prison I go to. Going yo solitary doesn't exactly sound fun either. Anyways ling story short I'm a law abiding citizen

    • I've heard solitary is for the prisoner's protection but that it's worse than any of the punishments the prison deals out to people. Kind of makes you wonder if it would be worth staying alive if you're completely isolated from others

Oh that's why I dont get angry if a mass murderer gets put in solitary for the rest of their life instead of executed. The same effect is mustered. One is fast. The other is a slow and tedious sandblaster to your sanity.

I think exicution is the humane option. Not that I think that murders and monsters dont deserve mental torture for the rest of their lives.

I hear in solitary the guards are quite neglectful as well. Wich I can possibly understsnd but if your being civil to them ya know?

Yea, the sick fuck that died in prison, Epstein, that was trafficking young ones, the guards must have went to 5ake a dump at the same time when Epstein hung himself. (I dont think he did.) It didnt hurt my feelings he died.

It should be dependent on their sex. Facts over feelings.

I think all transgenders should at least be separated to their own “blocks”. If not, have 1 standard prison for them. Regardless of offense or where they call home.

You know I'd be OK with that

Definitely your actual sex not what they pretend to be.

    • My take on the transgender community is this: people should use others' preferred pronouns as a show of being respectful of that person as an individual, with the explicit understanding that both parties are aware that gender identity doesn't override biology and that they're both essentially playing pretend to help one of them feel more comfortable

it depends on the country, mostly though i think they take into consideration how far you've transitioned and go from there, like if it's a person who's fully transitioned (on hormones + has had genital surgery) then that person would go to a prison that aligns with their gender preference (so someone born a female however has had genital reconstruction surgery + chest surgery would go to a male prison)

I have a solution for all this gender buisness.

Transgendered individuals use male facilities. 50% of them win. 50% will just have to deal. This includes prison, sports, bathrooms.

I support feminists. Females get their space and whomever had or has or pretends to have a penis gets a space in the male section.

    Problem solved.

    • Given how men's restrooms usually can accommodate a lot more people per hour than women's restrooms, that's actually not a bad idea. My main concern would be for the transgender prisoners because they're far more likely to experience aggression from the male prisoners than female

I'm not one for saying that prison should be a punishment within itself but it is prison, the place we put bad people. Not gonna change much of anything by putting them in with the child molesters. Dont do crimes. But I dont like when male to female persons go to women's prisons they rape the female inmates more.

In some states it will depend on identity and in others sex. In my country it is determined by sex and I hope that it never changes.

Check this and tell me that this gender identity thing is not bullshit. Next you'll have all rapist and pedophiles identifying as women to get transfers.

    • The way I see it is that gender identity doesn't override biology, and the strong push to accept that trans women are "literally" women is an outright dangerous rejection of science

But I also believe in treating people kindly and with respect. If a trans person wants me to use their preferred pronouns, I'll use them. That doesn't mean I believe they're literally the gender they identify as. It ultimately costs me nothing to accommodate someone to help them feel accepted and respected

I say it should depend on whether or not they have had bottom surgery or not.

Yeah I went to prison for almost 3 years, I went to prison in Russia, different than the West.
CDmale is right, they’d be put in their own protected area. We allow change of gender so they would go to their gendered prison, but probably be put in a separate part.
People with HIV are kept away here too, and because some people associate gay=HIV it’s dangerous for some gay dudes. The whole time I was there I never saw any violence because of homophobia though, they were just outcasted sometimes

Trans get lumped with gay people in some’s minds

Russia still considers transgendered people to be Transsexuals which is an official mental disorder. You can receive government vouchers for transitioning procedures if your therapist says that it will help you. However, you must be able to prove it isn’t a fetish for assistance. Asexual people have better luck. In a way, I think the “diagnosis” is ‘helpful’ for trans people in Russia. We don’t have the “transtrender” rumor here. I don’t more than 30% of Russians know what transgenderism is though.

The first FTM bottom surgery was done by a Soviet. The USSR was the first industrialized state to accept gay marriage, the USSR led the world in gender corrective surgery, and the concept of a gender spectrum was first studied by Soviet scientists.
Current Russia is in the “don’t ask don’t tell” stage of LGBT acceptance. We have a pretty back-and-forth history.

Huh that's neat, im gonna have to look into that more. If true I dig it. The tenders and the fetishist really make such an existence harder. Just today one of my coworkers was whisper talking smack about trans and gay people to me and in just like um yup lol
