In my opinion the meaning of life is to be as happy as possible and to also spread happiness to make the world as happy as possible as well.

My life's purpose is to find, and nurture a cat of the Siamese variety.

Why should anything require a purpose. Purpose is just a man made concept, and all human concepts are a joke as far as the universe is concerned.

The purpose is to live. What you with it is up to you. Interpret it any way you like.

There's a likely chance we weren't put here for a purpose. A good purpose I think is worth having is to advance our species. Maybe one day we will find alien life and we could say stand proud of what we are in comparison.

That's why i'm not having kids, there's no point in being here just existing instead o living.

The purpose is just to have fun. In dire straits, you make life as best as you can.

Lots of stuff fits under "fun". Toys and games are fun. Friends are fun. Life fulfillment is fun, too. Having a family, volunteering and helping others, doing a hard day's work, etc can all be fun because feeling good about yourself, who you are, and what you've done is fun.

That's why you need to set your standards a bit lower to obtain any sense of forward accomplishment.

That's why my goal in life is to build a kick ass homestead that stays in the family. Its physical use and function outweighing my limited potential in my lifetime.

I personally think just enjoying your life and making the best of it is the best you can do. Once we're gone, nothing on Earth will matter to us any longer anyway.

You answer is partially in your question. To live whilst you can. To enjoy that life. Yes, I would say to reproduce is a part of it (So long as you don't have really fucked up genes) and perhaps even to leave the world a little better than when you entered it.

Once you have kids your mindset changes and you realize everything isnt about you. When you're younger your world view is more about how things affect you personally. You're more individualistic. But when you get kids you instantly start looking out at the world and start thinking of the collective a lot more
