If god created satan is he perfect ?

My argument is If God is "perfect" then why did he create the devil if he knew that he would turn against him? why did he place the forbidden fruit in the garden of eden when he knew Adam and Eve would eat it? I don't mean to sound as if I have anything against christianity because I don't, I just wanted to clear that up.

It's just a book dude, it's full of shit. Look at Noah's Ark you would have to be a retard to believe a dude could build a boat to both house, feed and breed every single land dwelling animal on Earth at at that time in history.

Could god create a rock so heavy he could not lift it?
If he could not create a rock too heavy to lift, he is not omnipotent.
If he could create it yet not lift the rock, he is still not omnipotent.
Kind of off topic but interesting paradox.

    • Well that's true according to OUR logic, but if god were real then he put that logic in your head to begin with.

Therefore we would only be able to comprehend what he allows us to. If he were real, you wouldn't be able to disprove him because the logic he has given you is itself below the level of understanding his functioning.

He would see everyones comments and go "lol you think you KNOW what omnipotence truly is, how fresh, as I haven't let you know yet"

He could be making you say what you're saying, he could be making me say what I'm saying. And we would never know, unless he so chooses to let us know.

A "paradox" in itself could be total shit that he made us believe for fun, one would have to assume that he transcends logic and reason. That he is above what we might consider paradoxical and conflicting.

Claiming to disprove god is as crazy as thinking you are god.

It's easy to say that about a God that was built from the ground up to be perfect and unquestionable. When you say something like "the rules don't apply to him and we will never be able to understand him" that is my cue that I am simply done with the matter. You can't argue with illogical and I refuse to believe in it either.

          -
        • I think you are not getting the fact that I also don't believe in him. But I'm not so stupid that I think I could disprove something that controls everything, because LOGICALLY we could only do and think what he has allowed us to in the first place.

It's a fact that if he created us, then he gave us the logic that you use to deny him. Think about that for a while and it might click, then you may facepalm yourself.

Your supposed "rational" theory fucks itself in the ass if you take everything into account. It only works if you ignore factors, which ofcourse cannot be done if one wishes to find the correct answer to not just this but any question.

No, I don't think that matters. If there no hard evidence to support that something exists, and such a thing is scientifically unfalsifiable then I have no reason to believe that it exists. Even if it did exist, that doesn't matter at all because it does not affect my life in any way.

I don't expect everyone to agree with the way I think, but that's part of the reason why I don't bother with any of this BS. If I couldn't possibly understand then I simply won't bother trying to as it is clearly illogical.

            Comment Hidden ( show )
              -
            • The way you think is not revolutionary, it's completely standard and normal. Your theory is the same one I would use (I've heard it before, and seen it disproved in much the same way I have just done) if I were able to push the fact of the matter aside and pretend it isn't there.

"It's a fact that if he created us, then he gave us the logic that you use to deny him"

This single sentence makes everything you have said invalid.

Dude its way more complicated than that- god is not a dictator according to the bible- his basically putting your mind/soul through a test, sort of like a parent letting go his kids bicycle without the kid realizing it so he can learn to ride on his own, People live under this idea that Christians will live safe cushy lives aftere they convert, in reality the opposite is true, the bible goes on and on about how people will mock you for your beliefs and try to prove you wrong again and again (Basically which is all im seeing on most online pages when this issue pops up) It all makes sense to me, I suppose im just weird like that

            • I know lol. I'm being brief and shallow with the subject, but still doing away with the nonsense being spouted. You couldn't explain most of it to some people anyway so it's next to pointless to try. Omnipotence stands as it is defined, and as god is so, only infallible can he be.

Infact you don't even need to talk about religion at all to prove the point wrong as god is termed omnipotent, and that means he is perfect. He created the word perfect, and did so, perfectly.

Well if God can see the future then he created Satan knowing he would rebel so therefore he created him perfect to the role. However since God regrets actions in the Bible he obviously can both see the future and not see the future. Since God is a logically inconsistent entity. It is possible any creation would be equally logically inconsistent therefore Satan could be both perfect and imperfect at the same time should God exist.

God created angles and Satan or the Devil, whichever you want to call him, started out as an angel and Satan started to disagree with what God was saying and i believe that he turned against God and wanted to rule and be all powerful and control everything, so God made Hell and banished Satan into Hell and he was made to rule the Underworld. That's what happened, not that God created Satan to rule Hell, he started out good but over time he become bad

    Comment Hidden ( show )

    • disthing

Yeah but that is undermined by the fundamental belief that God is omnipresent and omniscient. He can't be surprised when an angel decides he wants to 'turn to the dark side' - God knew he was going to anyway. God knew before He even created Lucifer what the end result would be, yet He created him anyway. Which means, regardless of the events prior to Lucifer becoming Mr. Devil, God wanted to create Satan and Hell.

And so the ridiculousness goes on - how can God be disappointed and justify banishing Adam and Eve from Eden when He knew that they would give in to temptation and sin before He even created them. Oh and His creating The Devil in full knowledge that Adam and Eve would succumb to his powers of persuasion is kind of a dickish move.

So your excuse only works if you believe God doesn't know everything, and isn't everywhere. That He is physically and mentally limited.

Basically, as I said in a comment below, once you start questioning, the whole thing unravels. At least in my mind. I'm not a Christian.

And lastly I study anthropology, and practically every culture on earth believes in some form of good and evil

'God' supposedly, created us with free will. Including Lucipher. So god created us knowing we would sin, but giving us the choice to choose between good and bad. So they had the option to be good, but using their own free will chose not to. So that was their decision, ultimately not gods. Leaving them with the imperfection, not him.

  • myboyfriendsbitch

Does being perfect mean one has no problems or does it mean that one can deal with his problems eloquently? If it is the latter, perhaps Satan began not as an angel, but as a problem within God that needed to be dealt with. Perhaps the problem was that good was associated with evil and God wanted to separate the two, but one cannot exist without the other. Hell and Heaven separate good and evil, but what if God wants evil gone altogether? If he fixes this problem the first time around, altering good to be able to exist on its own, then he's perfect.

Alternatively, maybe we, as 12 watt humans are unable to see the perfection in good and evil. Without good there would only be chaos and without evil, well that would be boring right?

      • StarTeddy

Well, evolutionarily speaking, speciation occurs slowly. It happens at a population level, and sometimes species that are closely related can still reproduce with each other, like dogs and wolves, but don't for different reasons (genetic drift). But for example, while horses and donkeys can reproduce with each other, their offspring (mules) are sterile. At a population level, this means that a new species might still interact and reproduce with the old population, but their genetic material only stays within the new population which continues to change in its own direction.

Well, these are kind of difficult concepts to explain, but the main idea is that a species doesn't start with just one individual but rather with many at roughly same time as changes accumulate in a certain population.

This term also DIVIDES these people from other people who have other beliefs, or who are not religious. -A message from the VHATC-L2 (of which both Ba'al AND Jehovah were members). [Please note the past tense].

First of all, you are really stupid. That needs to be said.

Secondly, he responded with an intelligent response and you again responded with stupidity.

Thirdly, why would it be the responsibility of a random poll creator to create a new religion entirely?

        Fourthly, see number one.

Firstly, resorting to calling someone names, is Unethical, and therefore makes the name-caller stupid.

Lastly, please see the preceding, and continue reading (in an endless loop) until you get it!

WE DON't NEED A NEW RELIGIOUS CULT!!!

WHAT WE DO NEED, IS A NEW PHILOSOPHY.

Gotta remember though. theres a HUUUUUUGE difference between the old testament (i.e Garden of Eden, Noahs Ark, Mosesleading the Isrealites to the promised land) and the new testament ( Jesus Christ and Co. Of which there is mountians of evidence proving its existence) Im a Christian, but my belief in the old testament is reaaly lax. I mean after all, Islam and Juidism also feature the old testament,

Its merely a prologue if you will, a backstory to how the land of Israel came to be in its current state around Jesus's birth.

Its called "Christianity" for a reason, it throws the teachigs of the old testament out the window and in many ways contradicts it entirely, I personally think the old testament is historically accurate about King Davis, ect but as everyone knows, the creation story for instance is strikingly similar to that of ancient Egypt during the time the Israelites where there, and many other happenings occurring are lended from other faiths and cultures in the Fertile Crecent area during that time (Note how the bible becomes spiritually more complicated as it progrreses)

If the Roman Catholic church had put together the bible as the new testament only, it would have saved atheist and creationist a lot of vented spleens as there wouldn't have been much to argue about

In my opinion God is a fictional character. Only the gullible fall under these religion fantasies.
