If someone looks much younger than their age why

Are they treated younger too? I'm 34, my boyfriend is younger than me he's 27 and his family and friends treat me like I'm a teenager and it's actually annoying.

I often get mistaken for a teen (asian genes) lots of people assume I'm a high schooler but his family and friends know I'm 34, they know I'm older than him yet his 25 year old sister treats me like I'm much younger than her and his own mother calls me cute like I'm a child and it's really uncomfortable.

And is this normal?
