I'm a straight female, and although I like being a girl at times, there are many times I'd want to be male. My emotions would be a little easier to control, sex would be more enjoyable, people would judge me more for my personality than for my looks, I wouldn't have to deal with fear of rape, I could protect girls, I'd be physically stronger... no periods, I wouldn't be expected to have children... the list goes on and on.

It's a hard choice. For my own personal benefit, I've always sort of wanted to be a female. I think I'd make a better girl than a guy. I can be masculine when I need to be, but I've always felt like I'm feminine in many ways too(not effeminate, though). With a female body, wearing female clothes, having a female voice, I think I'd be quite comfortable. I've always wanted boobs, especially. I find them so erotic. If I could be female right now, I'd most definitely be a lesbian. I also think I'd feel more free as a person if I were female. Being a guy, it would be quite embarrassing to be myself. But as a girl, I could feel free to be feminine and also have a guy's sense of humor. As far as behavior, I think guys are more restricted. Women get the upper hand. Women can even act very irrationally in this day of age, and they aren't treated any differently. Men have to always keep up the image that they're masculine, and if they do anything that is feminine they're considered gay(which I am not).

At the same time, there are periods, pregnancy, and having less power in the world than men do. For that reason, I choose to keep my gender. But I can't deny that the desire to be female is an idea that always sits in the back of my mind.
