The opportunity arises for every single person on the planet to download one language into their brain and speak it as well as a native, which one would you choose? Specifically language, by the way, NOT accent.

German, so I could go up to my German teacher and say "fuck you!" in german.
I totally didn't expect the high votes for Japanese. I only want to learn Japanese because I'm in love with Japanese culture. I want to be able to understand what makes up nearly half of my music library. haha
Japanese seems to be the winner. Although I can see why, I didn't expect it.
Ojibway. I've always been interested in Native Americans and their culture. It saddens me to see so many of them not learning the languages of their ancestors so I've wanted to learn one to help preserve their memory.
Plus, it's fun to know languages not many people know (Norwegian, Ojibway, African tribal languages, etc) because you can talk shit to people and they most likely will not understand you.
I would choose either Mandarin Chinese, Icelandic, or Finnish.
Chinese because it's the language of the future, but I don't actually want to study it.
Icelandic because it's what I'm studying now--it's such a beautiful language!
Finnish because it is a very interesting language, very beautiful, and *extremely* difficult.
Spanish so i could talk back to all my latin friends! And i could order something correctly at King's Taco
I wish you put up Finnish. Im learning Finnish now and its so hard to learn! But fun! Moi! Moro!!
I speak English and Russian. But there are sooo many Spanish people in my state. I wish I could communicate with them.
I would choose German, because I would eventually learn their accent. Then I would sound BAD ASS :D
Spanish. That way when the mexicans finish taking over america maybe they will let me keep my job.
I love manga too!!! That's why I'd want to learn Japanese, but if you had put it up there I would have chosen Hebrew first.

Not to mention the Newspeak Theory that if it can not be said it cannot be felt so it would be interesting to see the mindset of our ancestors.
Aww you didn't put Hebrew up. I would love to learn it just because I think its very unique and a beautiful language. I would also like to learn Italian and Irish as they are part of my Heritage make up, two other languages you didn't add.
Japanese because I love anime and I want to watch the original versions without having to read the subs. LOL.
Japanese. I find Japanese people and their culture interesting, and would love to be able to speak with them fluently. So far, I only know enough to get by.

I'm torn between German and Russian. They both sound badass. I also agree with other comments. Hebrew and a Native American language would be cool to learn. All 4 are in my heritage but it's a shame none of them were passed down through the generations.
Mandarin Chinese. Learning the tones seems difficult so if I could automatically just know it that would be awesome. Than I could learn other tonal languages more easily!
Portuguese because my moms from Portugal and once you speak one Latin based language you can learn the rest easily, Spanish French and Italian.
People think hebrew is interesting?lol I guess to someone it could be interesting. I never thought of that I should use it more.

I don't need an 'instantly learnt' for Japanese because it's so easy (compared to Arabic. I've been trying to learn Arabic my whole life but learnt more Japanese than Arabic in a couple of weeks.)

Torn between Chinese and Japanese. It's all for the video games though, haha.
