If you could reconfigure the workweek, how would you do it?

If you could reconfigure the workweek to where businesses operated 24-hours a day, how would you do it? Would you have them open 24 hours Monday through Friday with three shifts: midnight - 8 am, 8 am - 4pm, and 4pm - midnight? Or would you have them run 24-hours a day Monday through Saturday with four shifts: midnight - 6 am, 6am - noon, noon - 6 pm, and 6 pm - midnight. Which would you prefer?

Three eight-hour shifts five days a week 8
Four six-hour shifts six days a week 8

At one job, we worked 12 hour days, 3 days one week, 4 days the next. So one weekend was 3 days long and every other was 4. Really enjoyed that once I got used to 12 hour days (read as: found a way to really only work for 4).

The only real drawback was there was no margin for error, if anyone took a day off there was no extra coverage, someone had to come in and besides making the extra money there was no other extra compensation.

I would love to do 4 weekdays of 10 hours to do the minimum 40 hours per week and have 3 days off.

4 days a week, 3 day weekend, or, 3 days a week, 4 day weekend.

You spend all that time getting up, getting dressed, driving to work, you can spend 12 or 14 hours, say, 3 days in a row! Get it done, max out your off time,.

Three eight-hour days would be enough for me thank you and have 4 days to do what I want to do. Or an even better way would be to do two twelve-hour days and 5 days off now that would be even better.
