If you had a chance at eternal life, would you take it?

by eternal life, i do not mean immunity to everything such as you are able to walk into a blazing inferno and come out unscaved.

I'm talking about the eternal life that stops natural death, your body being able to infinitely regenerate cells without the quality of them decreasing over time.

you would still die from any form of horrible accident such as a car crash however your regeneration system would allow you to live forever (if you managed to avoid horrible accidents) you would still need to eat.

the only thing that is different is you cannot die a natural death.

YOU and ONLY you have the chance to have this done to you, meaning your family will eventually die and you would be left to forever be allowed to enjoy the pleasures of life and learn of the knowledge this infinite universe has to offer.

your body remains in its prime state, since your cells never deteriorate.

Would you take the offer?

    Absolutely. By adding the clause that you could still die in an accident means that you could still instigate suicide. Lack of suicide is the only reason I would turn down eternal life.

    I would only choose to live up to 200 years. Just to see my future generations and the environment on Earth. Think about it! Why would you like to live forever in this dirty planet? All you see is worst and worst and worst all over the world!

    I think I would pick yes, because even though I would have to watch my family die off if at anytime the loneliness got to much I still have the abilty of killing myself. And I would like to know what's going to become of the world in a few hundred years. Though I would like to pick the age I can stay because I would like to have kids and I wouldn't want to stay 18 forever. Maybe 25.

    I would. The best part about it is that if there ever comes a time where you are done with the world, you could always end your on going life. Personally I despise the idea of growing old, and I would like to see what the future has to hold. So yeah, I'd do it.

    The chances of dying in any sort of accident in the time of eternity are infinite aren't they?

    i would not want to live forever on this planet in these retarded world. it's like signing up for eternal hell. living forever in the damn system where u r just a number not even considered a living thing.

    but i do want to live forever just to see the developent of humanity when we all go into space and meet other interracial entities.

    Totally! I want to live 'til I'm 150 anyway so definitely. Especially with those great new cells that I'm allowed to keep me young and healthy :)

    Interesting. Something would still inevitably take you, which I feel is good. I feel like it would be nice to not age for a while... Imagine retiring at 70, and still being able to explore like a 25 year old young man.
